Answer: The Best is Ahead Foundation (TBIAF) was founded to enhance the lives of the underserved youth in the Baltimore and Washington D.C. metro areas; focusing on four key initiatives while using the Name, Image, and Likeness of the University of Maryland football players. These four initiatives include:

a. Curbing gun violence through gun violence education
b. Decreasing drug and alcohol dependency
c. Assistance with mental health awareness
d. Literacy improvement within the community

Answer:

– As a business, companies may now enter into endorsement agreements with players and compensate them for activities such as appearances, social media posts, commercials, etc.

– TBIAF can help your business identify the appropriate football player and advertising campaign to fit your needs and ensure the athlete meets all obligations and expectations in a timely and professional manner.

– All individuals are welcome and encouraged to support TBIAF. Our Foundation will focus on community service initiatives for the University of Maryland football players. Your donation commitment will directly compensate the student-athletes for their service in our community.

Answer: NIL stands for Name, Image, and Likeness. With the NCAA’s recent adoption of the NIL policy, collegiate athletes now have the ability to use their name, image and likeness to be compensated for the following:

 

– Traditional brand endorsements and social media

– Appearances, autographs, and camps

– In-kind deals

– Unique deals like equity and NFTs

 

This policy also provides athletes the opportunity to hire a marketing agent, representative, or other professional service provider to assist them.

 

NIL Is Not

 

– Agreements provided without quid pro quo (payments for work not performed)

– Pay-for-play (compensation contingent on athletics participation or performance)

– Recruiting inducement (compensation contingent on enrollment or continued enrollment at an institution)
